My room was spacious, clean and nicely furnished. The staff was courteous.The swimming pool was much too cold to enjoy it.

The location. We were originally in a room with the shower in the bath, usually not a problem however this bath was a spa bath and very high with a slant and we found it extremely difficult to use. We moved rooms as the picture of the room we booked showed a shower. HE army bar next door was great, live music, cheap beers, great food.We booked a room with a balcony but there were no seats on it, this was eventually rectified.

Breakfast is not very nice. There are plenty of cafe & street food, restaurants elsewhere.

The hotel offers very good value for the reasonably small price. We were welcomed very friendly with tea and the hotel owner explained a few things about Hué to us. Since we arrived in the morning and our room was not yet empty, we could leave our luggage at the hotel and they hurried up to make our room available as soon as possible. The room was very spacious and had an excellent view on the town and the river. We also had a free cocktail at the rooftop bar. The hotel is located in a quite busy area with lots of nice restaurants and small shops. Also the Hué citadel can be reached by foot in about 15-20 minutes. Overall a very good stay in Hué!There was a lot of partying going on in the surrounding area. Unfortunately, the room was a little bit noisy, but since we were tired, we did not mind at all and after midnight (I think), the area is very quiet and also hardly any noise from traffic.
