location was lovely, rooms are super clean and tidy. pools great too.I booked for my father and his friends, they made them pay on arrival. Loud music Played all night long and through out the day. They said it was a celebrations and it would be done by the next day, but it only got louder. My father and his friends got 0 sleep (the same thing happen when I stayed a month before so I assumed it was just a one time thing for us). My father asked to check out early and for them to cancel the last day of booking, he asked for a refund for the last night which they refused (which under hotel policies I understand) but the kicker was trying to charge them for one beer out of the mini bar. I just find it funny that they charge you on arrival knowing fully that there is loud music being played, like I said before it happen to myself when I stayed so I don't think its a one time deal.
Pool area is lovely Rooms are well decorated Grounds are very peaceful Mr. Hai in the restaurant was very good.Food was mediocre at best and very overpriced. After dinner I order a Baileys, they gave me half a shot of warm Baileys in a glass, the texture appeared off, but I added it to my coffee any way, it immediately curdled and turned my coffee into a chunky mess. When we explained to the staff that it was bad they argued that it was the coffee, not the baileys, that was bad. Wait staff was impossibly poor (except for Hai who was very helpful), they stood around doing nothing until you hunted them down for service. Front desk staff was friendly but the check in and check out process was very slow and staff appeared confused by simple requests (ie asking for our bill). This resort is too large to charge 2% to use a credit card. Large soaking tub in our bathroom was rotted out and would not hold water.
The restaurant staff were fantastic. Happy, helpful and efficient. The grounds were lovely, green and full of plants.The hotel wasn't particularly accommodating. We were the only guests in the hotel and our flight had been changes twice. We had asked them to extend our checkout time by 2 hours to allow our toddler to nap in the AC, as we were the only guests I didn't think this would be much of an issue, but they insisted they could not without charging us. Small actions can make big differences to guests experience. When leaving we felt that they were eager to see us leave. Due to Covid 19 these were unusual circumstances, but nonetheless we probably won't return. We have been made to feel much more welcome across the country at much cheaper venues.
