Excellent facilities, very classy and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful pool and beach area. Good care of environmental factors (little plastic). When water from the tap is not drinkable, a resort of this class should provide plenty of water bottles (or better a dispenser of free drinking water) instead of the tiny two bottles per day.
We had an amazing stay at Ana Mandara, beautiful well kept resort, huge white sandy beach and absolutely fantastic service!!! When we got to the hotel one of our kids was not feeling well, the front desk manager, Hong, noticed her, sped up the check-in process and personally took us to our beautiful connecting double rooms. She continued to check on us through out our 10 day stay, ask about the kids' health, offer advice on trips, places to visit in Hue. When we checked out she was there to give us a warm good by. During our stay it was my husband's birthday. At dinner we got a delicious complementary cake with staff singing "Happy birthday", after dinner the general manager invited us to a complementary bottle of wine in the bar and also asked the band playing in the bar to sing Happy Birthday to him! Throughout our stay the staff were very friendly and eager to help. The resort is about 10 km away from Hue, set on a beautiful white sandy beach, well kept gardens, a large adult pool connected to a children's pool. The water was a bit too warm, but we had 39 degrees C during our stay, so it's to be expected. I think they allow people from outside the resort to come and use the pool area, but it doesn't get too crowded. There were no weddings during our stay, just a one-day team building. The rooms are nicely decorated, with large bathrooms having both a walk in shower and a bath tub, all the toiletries you may need, and large balconies/terrace with a sofa. There is an evening house keeping round when they come to change the towels again (if needed) and leave complementary home made biscuits with a nice note on the desk. We had most of our meals in the resort as there are only some local street food type of places nearby. Food is good, there are both Vietnamese and western options, keep in mind that prices do not include about 10% tax and 5% service fee(15% for room service). There is a complementary shuttle service to Hue(about 35min drive), but the evening shuttle was not running during our stay, so we had to take a taxi (about 240,000 VND one way) for the evenings.
