We got the night train from Ninh Binh and expected to just drop our bags until check in in the afternoon. However we were given our room immediately - after 12 hours on a train it was a lush surprise. The really spacious room had two massive beds, a terrace, great shower and a swimming pool on the same floor. It’s spotlessly clean, staff are very friendly and speak very good English. The breakfast was great with superb views. It’s away from the main centre a little - but you can walk to the river in 10 minutes and a taxi is only a couple of quid to drop you to the main ‘tourist’ area.Nothing

The staff were all very friendly and inviting, the checking in process was done very quickly . They have very good hygiene procedures due to the covid pandemic. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had no issues at all coming and going as we pleased. We mostly had the pool to ourselves because they didn't have many visitors.Upon checking in we were notified that there is no room service because the Restaurant is closed and we would need to go out for dinner and lunch or order delivery. We were unable to order any drinks or refreshments while at the pool because the Bar and restaurant was not operational, we wanted to get a massage but was notified that the spa was also not operational. When we made a booking we were told a beffet breakfast was included in the price however when we went to the dining hall for breakfast there was no buffet, no choice was given for breakfast the only thing that was available for breakfast was Bun Bo(Vietnamese noodle soup). We were not notified ahead of time that we won't be able to order any food during our stay.

Helpful and accommodating staff and spacious rooms. The swimming pool was greatly welcomed.

The staff is very friendly.Our suite was spacious but a little run down. It could use a makeover.
