the Truong Tien bridge view of the room was great. the architecture of the hotel was a plus too. It was nice that we could check in early as requested. we loved bath salt as well. This was the poorest breakfast for a 4 or 5 star hotel I have stayed. The coffee was too bad to drink. Latte and Capuchino needed to pay extra fee for breakfast. all of cakes like Nam, Loc, Beo were not good. Fried Tet cakes were not kept in hot condition, they were cool. The staff at the breakfast were all nice but slow and not very well-trained. other staffs did not bring welcome drinks until we asked twice.
A beautiful colonial style hotel with a rich history. Renovated and expanded according to the original architecture. Top location in Hue city, facing the river and famous iron bridge. A big inner garden where staff (on request) served our delicious breakfast. Despite the hotel operating at minimal capacity due to covid, nothing was lacking.
The location can't be beaten, the original feel of the colonial style building and the central garden is wonderful. This is a great place to stay, perfect location and gorgeous original feel of the colonial building with internal garden oasis (two trees over a hundred years old!). The room setup service was a little "lazy"/cheap?; once again (this happens a lot in our stays in Vietnam) we only had supplies for two people despite being a family of four. The two small bottles of water nowhere near enough (we come from a country with drinkable tap water so for us drinking water is a standard with accommodation, maybe this is different here?). This was fixed but only after asking, first for water and then for towels, etc. Other than that, service was friendly and helpful.
