- Great location with Hue, close to everything - Fantastic staff and friendly service - special thanks to Miss Doa for her kindness. - Great room with fantastic view and all good facilities - Hotel tour was exceptional and highly recommended - Lovely pool and hotel facilities Had an amazing stay and one of the best hotels we stayed in during our visit to Vietnam.Breakfast was geared towards an asian clientele with limited western options
I did not particularly like anything about it other than the gym which was well equipped. The breakfast staff were hard working and professional and friendly, and the choice of breakfast food was excellent, the bar staff were friendly as were the porters, however, the same cannot be said about the receptionists or the management who are the worst I have ever experienced. So many negatives I’m sad to say. The location is okay but super noisy all day and night. Breakfast - the coffee is disgusting and a shame on a country that is a major coffee producer. The food is average at best and hot food always cold. The receptionist staff are not particularly friendly but not rude either, they seem ambivalent about their guests. The hotel is noisy, no matter where you sleep, and it is old and tired and just unpleasant. There are no showers only baths with old tired inefficient shower heads - out of three rooms all were faulty. Most things about this hotel are as false and superficial as the marble columns that surround its facade - no pun intended - which are concrete clad in marble printed linoleum. It really says it all. I also had a terrible experience after a mistake on checkout. I had booked two rooms and asked the girl at reception to charge both to my account as I checked out. The girl produced the bill which I paid without really checking. My daughter and I were waved off by the porters in full view of the reception staff. The hotel knew our tour driver and that we were on our way to Hoi An while having a 6 hour tour. About an hour or two into the trip the driver told us that the hotel had called and the full bill had not been paid. I spoke to the hotel manager who told me the receptionist denied I had asked for both bills to be added for payment - clearly the receptionist was afraid of her mistake. The manager then sent me an email saying ‘we have your daughter’s passport details and know where you are going, we are going to call the local police if you don’t pay us. Given we had guaranteed the booking by credit card, and were on a day trip and had no real chance to sort the problem, this behaviour was a disgrace. I called the hotel and asked for the bill and that I would of course pay when I got the emailed bill and when I reached Hoi An.
