For the price, the room was good. It was very clean and had everything we needed. I liked that we could log onto Netflix. The location is great, 5 minute walk to the beach and plenty of options for food (which was needed after breakfast!).The beds were as hard as concrete and left me with a sore back. Very strange to have beds so hard! The breakfast needs improving. On the first morning we were handed 2 bowls of cold noodle soup. No menu! On the second morning i asked for an omelette (as i didn't eat meat) and was handed 1 fried egg and 2 sausages. Again very strange.
We stayed 3 days in Dana Hotel and had above expectation experience. The spacious room, safe, AC, fridge, water, coffee, tea, plus minibar; hair blower, toothbrushes, soaps, shampoo, even comb and cap for the shower. They were changing towels every day. It is quiet area. Breakfast, buffet - very good, and what we liked about it is that it starts at 6:30 until 9:30. Great lightening in the room and in the bathroom. Three huge mirrors. Beds: there were many bad comments about the beds being uncomfortable, but the thing is - they are the hardest I've ever slept on and I've never slept better!! Honestly! It is much healthier to sleep on hard beds than soft. First time after many days I was waking up without pain in the back. And we are two tall people with very offen bed choosing issue. This was the best hotel so far. Overall - great value for the money! Totally for the recommandation :).
Location, my room was quiet, and some of the staff. The room reserved was not the same as the room I was given. When I told them about it, I was told the price I reserved under was for the room I was given. The bed was rock hard (mattress seemed to be still in the original wrapping!), smelled moldy, shower water ran everywhere when one showered. Went to check out a day early as my sinuses could not deal with the moldy smell. Staff did not accept my Visa (used to reserve the room) saying they did not have a machine for it and wanted cash. I handed them US$50, and asked for change back (price was US$ 41.90). They then told me it was not enough because they did not “exchange” the dollars at the bank rate. Reservations were made in US$, so no brains there, I thought. we went back and forth for 90 minutes, at least. I then exchanged the fifty for $40, and the rest in VND and told them we were settled. Suddenly, they were using the full exchange rate. You cannot have it both ways. More than a day later, I am still waiting for my receipt. I feel bad for the young, untrained staff with extremely limited English. However, I spoke with two other women, including a manager on the phone. I understand they may not set the rules, but fair is fair. I was treated very unfairly during check-out. and I am still waiting for my receipt!!!
