Hostel is apparently run by mother and son team- they were so kind and friendly; even making breakfast for us early since we had to leave earlier than expected. The place is in a good location, short walk to the nightlife and longer stroll to the imperial citadel. It is very clean and well maintained, probably the best place we stayed in Vietnam. Our AC had a leaking problem if it got too cold.
The hostel is in a great location, so central but still so quiet. The staff were also so helpful in organising me a taxi from the airport at last minute over tet - they really went above and beyond. The hostel was really clean, the beds were comfy and good air con in the rooms.
We stayed in a 2 bed private room, the room was very big and clean. Breakfast was fine. Was within short walking distance from many good restaurants and little shops. We booked through the hostel a single day easy rider with Danh to see all of the attractions of the city and it was a nice experience. Hotel staff was nice and helpful.
Super comfy bed although the mattress is covered in a thick sheet of plastic - probably worse in the summer. Comfy pillows. Big room and bathroom with soap, shampoo, toothbrush and paste. Towels changed once in 7 days. They would probably do more if you ask them. My room wasn't cleaned once. My balcony was great except it overlooked the fire station which could get noisy. Breakfast is Pho, omlette or banana pancake with instant coffee but it's totally adequate. It's in a great neighbourhood - the walking/drinking street is just around the corner and it's just a short walk to the river. Bicycle rental is 70,000 a day which I thought was a bit expensive. The staff are really enthusiastic and friendly. The gnats in my room which I finally got rid of with a hefty dose of RAID but not before I'd been bitten many many many times.
