Location and breakfast were great. The staff were all very nice and helpful. It was really quiet at night. The room was spacious with nice beds. I had some special problems, otherwise I would give this place top marks across the board. It feels like a very nice hotel for a budget price! Also, the owner has programs to have guests have tea with local students so they can practice their English.My room was non smoking but filled with smoke because they allow people to smoke in the hall and there was a 1 inch gap at the bottom of the door. Water started leaking through the ceiling in my bathroom at 3 am and making a loud dripping noise. The night receptionist tried to quietly do damage control and was really nice. They couldn’t predict a plumbing leak, but it did seriously impact my overall experience there due to lack of sleep. They arranged a driver to take me to Hoi An who drove very recklessly and scared me to death.

This hotel was really great value for money and what it may have lacked in fancy facilities it defiantly made up for by wonderful staff and it’s great value. The hotel was clean and the bed very comfortable. Take time to read the owners story in the lobby as it gives you a real insight into life in Vietnam. We had our washing done here very reasonable price and the breakfast was hearty. We were only here for a night as we were on route to Hoi an and based here to do a jeep tour across The pass to Hoian.

Great location for access to all Hue city centre sights. Spacious, quiet room with a large comfortable bed. Great breakfast with a variety of freshly prepared fruits, Vietnamese and Western breakfast items and egg dishes cooked to order. All the staff were friendly, gave great service and engaged on a regular basis to add to our stay.We didn't stay long enough!

My son and I stayed at the Than Thien and we were welcomed warmly. Mrs Tuoi who booked the Bach Ma trip for us and went to lengths to ensure that our transfer was in time for Dong Hoi. She even made sure that our luggage was transported to the correct place so we could collect it and then ride to our destination. As for the hotel, it was comfortable, clean and the breakfast was grest too. Thank you Mrs Tuoi and Thanks to Than Thien.I could not fault THAN Thien..
