Great staff very helpfully.Leaving the property

Room size was good. Breakfast was good. Pool was good.The hotel was kinda boring. Lovely setting, quaint old colonial style, but it seemed to have no soul. No one used the restaurant, the place was virtually deserted after breakfast. Such a shame.

The hotel has a very grand old feel from the moment we walked in. All the staff were very friendly and helped us to settle in. Our room was huge and the aircon was excellent. The room also stayed cool whilst we were out. Balcony was great and had an excellent view of the bridge and river. The breakfast was served in a lovely garden area so this was definitely a highlight. The housekeeping staff also left little stories when they cleaned the room, which was a really nice touch. The hotel did well at showcasing its history with various displays and artefacts dotted around. The hotel itself is situated in a brilliant location, only a 5 minute walk from the main area to eat and drink and a 15 minute walk from the Imperial city.Not enough sun loungers around the pool so it did seem packed when we went down one afternoon. Also the gym equipment could do with being upgraded as the all in one machine didn't really work.

This was a luxurious stay, fantastic breakfast in lovely setting. Hotel has a “Raffles” feel. We loved it.There was nothing wrong

Gorgeous hotel. Old world look. Old world feel. Breakfast was plentiful with variety. Rooms comfortable. Bed good. View terrific. Loved it. I'll come back here.Loved it all.
