The bed was by far one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The lighting in the room was fabulous as was all the mirrors. The service was very good and the food at breakfast was enjoyable. Great location and easy to find.Whilst I had a lovely time, there are just a few modernizations/updates that I would have appreciated. I.e. the finishings like the bathroom grouting. There was no bubble bath for the bath! Too much plastic being used for the room amenities, i.e. mini shampoo bottles. Also, the room service food was not worth it at all! I was solely disappointed especially as my prawns were not cleaned and you could see the dirt. Whilst the hotel manager tried to make up for this by sending me a fruit plate and a cake slice, I still found the meal on my bill at the end of my stay.
It is hard to keep the same hotel service through Covid and lock-downs. All hotel ratings on Booking.com are legacy ratings from before Covid. So there is always a risk that it may be a miss. But Indochine have made all the effort to maintain the same service that their customers have enjoyed 2 years ago! The property has just reopened in April and had very few customers still. Never the less the welcoming, the cleanness, the breakfast, the customer care were exceptional. We wanted connected rooms and staff advised us how to properly re book so that they can give us connected rooms.The SPA has not still open but I hope as number of tourist goes up it will be there soon. The outdoor pool was great though.
