The location was excellent, close to the beach and close enough to good food outlets and supermarkets. The staff were very kind and helpful. Taxi service from the airport was an absolute breeze - no confusion or delays. The rooftop pool was small(ish) with only three sun loungers, though it did exactly what you needed it to do, with a view of the beach too. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The shower was excellent, lovely and warm. All in all, a perfect trip!Nothing.
The room is spacious.1. When we checkin, they handed us an UNMADE room. When I scanned the key and got inside, it looked completely like a crime scene: messy blanket and pillows, chairs and coffee tables are moved, water all over bathroom floor, used towels are everywhere on the floor, room is hot and smelly. I called the staffs and they sent a cleaning team in, no management, no duty manager, no GSA was there to apologize directly. 2. They lied to us about payment. At checkout, they said the credit card machine is broken and requested us to pay in Cash. I said I don’t. They asked if I have atm card for Vietnamese bank. Of course No. Duty manager went to the back office, made some calls and eventually they asked for our international credit card. The machine worked. It’s not broken, they just lied to get cash but then we don’t have cash. How come a four star hotel doesn’t accept credit card??? 3. Bad service: after all of the hustle from checkin to checkout, I asked for room rate discount. GSA said it’s the lowest rate they can offer because they were supposed to charge us 250,000 VND extra per person per night as it is New Year holiday. So does it mean that regardless us knowing about that extra charge, they just gonna charge us at the hotel? We need to pay more money than what it’s shown on our reservation with Booking.com? This experience is so bad. I never been to a hotel that the room is unmade when we checkin, and a hotel that has staffs who lie to us about payment.
