The place is really lovely, Japanese inspired with sliding doors and futon style beds (but regular foam mattress not real futon). One really nice thing was that I was greeted with cool water and just allowed to sit and relax a minute before doh f the whole check in rigmarole. The upstairs is HOT in summer but the aircon in the rooms was fantastic so that was fine. My room had a shared bathroom but it was clean. The location is a tiny bit out of the way but you can walk to the imperial city easily and moto taxis are super cheap (no grab cars in Hue) if you’re too hot to walk. The manager is really lovely and passionate about her new business. The house is calm and full of plants and cute books and Knick knacks. No bar fridge in the rooms but you can use the one in the kitchen.Nothing really except maybe the location, it would be nice to stay in the thick of things for some of your time in Hue, but I definitely enjoyed this neighbourhood as well.
Besides being clean, well-priced and well-situated right in the center of the ancient Citadel, the house is beautifully outfitted with tile and polished wood furniture. I appreciate the care that has gone into making the place so so attractive. Breakfast was always great (especially the bún chay, yum!). Ngọc and Ngọc were both so generous with me. I was sorry to leave! The part time worker was eager to help, but kinda of uninformed when it came to tourist advice. Luckily the Ngọc sisters were full of recommendations.
