This place is a 10/10. Friendly staff, well located, good breakfast, clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. I spend Christmas there and it was incredible! They organize free activities, vietnamese lesson, free motorbike tour, cooking class... Etc and it is a great place to meet people Totally recomended!Everything was good!

The friendly staff. Vietnamese lesson class, motorbike trip and the family dinner is really nice.Everything is good more than expected. The only things is the bus to Laos. I'm booked the bus ticket from Hue to Vientiane at the hostel that it is cheapest price but the bus service is worse ever .

The staff were amazing. Friendly, helpful, and funny. The family dinners were a great way to get to know everyone and were delicious. The staff was helpful with booking things and really made you feel at home. Also a great location.The washrooms were a little run down, streets were noisy and wifi wasn’t great. But the staff and experience made it all worthwhile.

To start off, the hostel is more or less located in the heart of the tourist area of Hue. There are many convenience stores, restaurants nearby and the Imperial Citadel is a few kilometers away. The location makes it very convenient to travel to the central part of the city, though many of Hue's attractions are quite far away from the hostel by virtue of them being outside the main city. The facilities themselves are pretty standard in terms of hostels go. The rooms are clean and provide a curtain for each bed which is almost a necessity for me when I stay at hostels. Everything was clean and functional. By far my favorite part of my stay at Freedom Hostel was my interactions with the staff. All of the staff is very friendly and eager to talk to the guests. They offer advice on not only places to go in Hue but also other parts of Vietnam. One of the amazing things they do is they host family dinners every night where they cook various Vietnamese for the guests that want to participate. It is a fantastic way not only to bond with the other guests, but the staff at the hostel. It only costed 70,000 dong to participate in the family dinner. The hostel staff also went above and beyond by showing me around to different parts of the city by motorbike and cooking me and other guests breakfast in the morning. Freedom Hostel is one of the best hostels I stayed at and can recommend staying here wholeheartedly. I hope to make my way back there soon!
