Hotel location, cleanness, services and staff behaviour were all good.Hotel's currency exchange rate is on lower side. They billed in VND ( Vietnam's local currency) and then converted it into USD as we wanted to pay in USD. Their conversion rate was VND 22,000/USD whereas in Hanoi we stayed for 5 days ( 4 days before coming to this hotel and one day after returning from here) and there they converted the VND Invoice @ 24,000 VND/USD. This lower conversion rate led to higher payment of about 58 USD for 3 days stay. This way of charging higher to customer from a reputed hotel like this is not appreciated.

Rooftop bar.My passport was taken upon check-in which made me feel very uncomfortable. I explained to the lady I’ve never had a hotel withhold my passport before because they would scan it or photocopy it then give it back which she still then denied to return it. After not being able to sleep at night I expressed my concerns about my passport being withheld even with my credit card as a deposit and the gentleman at the reception kindly gave it back and apologised for what had happened earlier. First time staying at this hotel and also my last.

The room was spacious with a great view of the river, the pool was excellent with again great views.the bed was excellent for old bones.The only thing we didn’t like was the location as you had to get transport everywhere but in saying that the transport was cheap

Rooftop pool, hotel offered us a room with good view of Dragon bridge so that we can enjoy the firework festival from the room without going to the crowd, nice staff, food from street stall nearby the hotel is tasty,.Breakfast is just so so, towel for guest using the rooftop swimming pool is not enough
