The breakfast was ok and designed for Asians. But it was good and tasty.Lack of tourist brochures at reception. Lack of English speaking staff except for a lady called Lan. No fire instructions in English...No fire extinguishers, no fire alarm. Extremely small standard room, which looked a lot larger in the photos. Small swimming pool area, which could only accommodate 4 to 5 people at most. Upon arrival we had to change rooms twice and finally opted for the penthouse. Having paid for the upgrade, we were informed next day that the staff had not charged my credit card enough, even though I had a receipt proving otherwise. It was finally sorted out by the duty manager called Lan. This lady was extremely helpful and did her best to make our stay comfortable. But after 48 hours, we had no cold water in our shower. Hence, after all the issues we had upon arrival, lack of directions to the nearest convenience store or coffee house, we booked out early and rebooked a flight back home. Thus we paid another £75.00 for another flight and we lost three nights of paid hotel accommodation We were not given a refund for the remaining three nights that we had paid for. The staff were friendly enough, but the hotel management need to spend time training their staff, particularly on day shift/night shift handover of what a customer has pre-booked for the following morning.The staff seemed to consist of school girls, who had absolutely no idea of hotel management. We will never return to this hotel and indeed never to Da Nang which had food littered all over the sidewalk, where people just through their rubbish onto the pavement or the street. It is a filthy city. The final straw was, we booked private car to go to Ba Na hills resort. The private tour ran from 8am until 1730. We arrived at 0900 and left by 1030. Thousand of loud aggressive Vietnamese, queued for almost an hour to get the cable car and when we got to the top, we were greeted by the sight of a mock French castle village. Extremely overpriced day out.
